Convergence

The Convergence is one of the key microservices of the Bert Microservices Architecture which connects the Bert Maximus platform to the whole architecture. All kinds of Upstream or Downstream data flows through the Convergence microservice.

Warehouse

This microservice is working using Cassandra and is responsible for the time-series data warehousing and also historic data APIs. Cassandra is a state-of-the-art technology that works best when dealing with an immense quantity of data, be it in number or weight. Since the platform is dealing with thousands of data packet received every minute, hence Cassandra.

Register microservice is responsible for the onboarding of new devices to the platform and it also houses all the commissioning information which is used by other microservice for device verification.

Directive

Directive microservice is used to send control, scheduling, and different kinds of commands to all the Bert Maximus devices remotely. These commands can be sent by Bert Optimus or the Bert Dashboard.

The Bridge microservice brings scalability to the microservices architecture. The Convergence microservice can be site or client-specific and would carry dedicated data pipelines, new Convergence microservice(containing new client/site) are added to the architecture using the Bridge microservice.

Renovate

The Renovate microservice is responsible for updating the firmware on the Bert Maximus devices. It allows the platform to do the process remotely. It Orchestrates and maintains the status of the whole update process.

Relay

Relay

This microservice is used to relay the real-time data received using NATS from Convergence microservice to Bert Optimus or The Bert Dashboard or other microservices using Web-Sockets, making the whole process highly efficient.
