Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the cleanroom facility management (qualification/maintenance/extensions) including HVAC and supportive utilities within a GMP 5 compliant Quality Management System.

Responsible for the study of qualification, calibration, and maintenance (preventive and corrective) of production and testing equipment according to established procedures, applicable guidelines and regulations, including the supportive documentation.

Write User Requirement Specifications, Design Reports

Perform or support the performance of Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, Performance Qualification, and other reports relevant for GMP 5 activities

Developing overall Conceptual and Basis of Design level design approaches and documentation, providing feasible & cost-effective solutions per client needs.

Developing HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies.

Developing Mechanical / Utility equipment and construction specifications.
-
Performing temperature / humidity control / utility load calculations. Developing airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and classification, as well as ductwork sizing and piping plans.

Developing HVAC System & Utility system P&ID's, equipment selections, plans, plant utility distribution plans, and system details.

Developing building management system (BMS) control philosophy, details, Sequence of Operations.

Performing construction assistance in submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field visits to verify the construction of Mechanical / Utilities scope is executed per the intent of the design, and assisting in the start-up of systems when required.

Managing and developing mechanical / utility scope for project budgets and schedules. Traveling as required for client development and project execution.

Lead Project mechanical / utility team from concept design through start-up as required.
Responsibilities
-
Mechanical engineering professional with engineering experience supported by strong academic record with professional experience in HVAC & Utility Systems design, Piping design Projects.
-
5-10+ years of related experience (Pharmaceutical/food/CPG etc. facility design experience including cGMP manufacturing facilities required).

Knowledge of building load calculation software (Energy plus, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, etc.)
-
Good Knowledge on ASHARE & SMACNA, ASME 31.3, ASME 31.1 & Knowledge of building codes and industry standards required.

Knowledge in temperature / humidity control / utility load calculations.

Good Knowledge in Steam equipment, Piping Design.

Understanding of or experience using AutoCAD, Revit and other 3D design tools & review software like NavisWorks etc.

Good working knowledge in application of 2-D for developing conceptual designs and production design deliverables of complex plants. Guiding modelers /drafters and team for best piping layout design as per industry norms.

Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Capable in Technical Discussion with client & project execution, review of construction drawings, Technical Specification, Technical Recommendation, Quality Assurance Plan & Mechanical deliverables.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
